BRAWNIE - THE RAW BROWNIE WITH DATES

Today we offer you a "no" dessert! No what? Well, no baking to start! But also gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and without added sugars! But rest assured, indulgence will still be present in this raw brownie with dates and cocoa :-) Try it with our detailed step-by-step instructions below ↓

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups pitted dates (1 + 1.5)
  • 3 cups pecans (or almonds, cashews, walnuts)
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Frosting:

  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Materials

  • bowl, blender, knife, mold, parchment paper

Preparation

  • Step 1:

    Soak 1 cup of dates in hot water for at least 1 hour. Then chop these dates in a food processor. Also chop the pecans.

  • Step 2:

    Chop 1.5 cups of dates: we chose to chop them with a knife to have pieces, but you can blend them for a smoother consistency.

  • Step 3:

    Then mix all the dates, nuts, cocoa powder, almond meal, salt, and vanilla. Start mixing with a spoon and finish with your hands.

  • Step 4:

    When the mixture is homogeneous, transfer it to a mold lined with parchment paper.

  • Step 5:

    Melt the coconut oil and then mix it with cocoa powder, honey, vanilla, and salt.

  • Step 6:

    Pour this frosting over your brownie and spread it evenly across the surface. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

  • Step 7:

    And there you have it, your brownie is ready!
