BEST AMAZON BEER DEALS INCLUDING STELLA, GUINNESS AND CORONA ALL CHEAPER THAN SUPERMARKETS

The idea of buying beer in bulk is magical: no more sad four packs, just a big old crate and a weekend of fun ahead of you. Thankfully, it's Amazon Spring Deals sale, meaning they've cut the price on all sorts of beer including Corona, Guinness, Heineken and Stella.

However, not all deals are made equally, so I've checked the prices against the likes of Tesco, ASDA, Waitrose and Sainsbury's to make sure it's actually worth it. For example, this 24 pack of Asahi proudly says "17 per cent off", bringing it down to £29.

It is actually cheaper to get it is cheaper to get two 12 packs from Waitrose for £8.99 (£17.98). So it's not on the list. Now we've done the trust exercise, time to fill your boots with some delicious, delicious beer.

In Short

1) Guinness Draught Stout, 15 x 440ml for £18

Ahhh, Guinness. Nothing quite like a cold one after a very long week at work and Amazon currently has it retailing for £18, equating to £2.75 per litre. This makes it cheaper than Sainsbury's (£17 for 12, £3.22/litre or Nectar card £14.50, £2.77/litre), and Waitrose (£10 for eight, £2.85/litre).

Guinness combines a beautiful sweet malt combined with bitter hops to create that unique, legendary taste. Drinking from a can is also pretty good now, as they use a nitrogenating widget in the can to create the head you all expect, sans funny little shape.

2) Birra Moretti, 24 x 330ml cans for £21.60 on Amazon

My favourite lightly premium beer from Italy is coming in at £2.73 per litre on Amazon, beating out competition from Tesco (£18 for 12, £4.54/litre or £13, £3.28/litre on Clubcard), Sainsbury's (£18.50, £4.67/litre, or £13, £3.28/litre on Nectar), and ASDA (£10, £3.03/litre).

Birra Moretti is the perfect meal time beer, combing bread-y top with a citrus undertone, meaning it pretty much goes with everything. Best served cold, like you're on holiday in Italy.

3) Stella Artois, 18 x 440ml for £14.25

I don't think anyone in the world hates Stella Artois. If it's on the bar, you're in safe hands, because there's at least one thing you want to drink. It's currently £14.25 on Amazon (£1.80 per litre), beating out ASDA (£15 for 18, £1.89/litre), Tesco (£15.99, £2.02/litre) and Sainsbury's (£18, £2.27/litre). Nectar card does edge out at £14, bringing it to £1.77/litre, but you need to make the value judgement of whether the free delivery is worth 3p per litre (£2.38).

4) Corona Extra, 24 x 330ml for £21.99

If every single pollen particle on Earth parking itself inside my nostrils is any indication, it is spring, which means it's nearly summer, which means it's nearly time to drink Corona. The delicious drink is just £21.99 in the sale, which works out to £2.76 per litre.

This beats out ASDA (£16.50 for 18, £2.78/litre), Sainsbury's (£18.75 for 18, £3.16 per litre), and Waitrose (£17, £2.87/llitre).

5) Heineken Premium Lager Beer, 15 x 440ml for £13.50

The number one best selling beer on Amazon has a mighty discount, coming in at £13.50, which is £2.05 per litre. This comes out on top of Sainsbury's (£15 for 15, £2.27/litre), Tesco (£16 for 15, £2.42/litre) and ASDA (£15 for 15, £2.27/litre). However, Clubcard edges out with £12 (£1.82/litre).
